We are organizing an ELT conference!...
29 Mart 2012 Perşembe
16 days left!
Our dear participants and inspiring speakers,
It is hard to believe that we have only 16 days left!
Every day we say "We are about to finish the preparation process." then we come up with different ideas, a new preparation process gives the start signal and we get down to work again. Even though it is not easy, we take pleasure while taking every single step..
In a few days, we will announce the program so that you can see when the conference starts, when and who speaks, and when it ends. The details related to service buses will be announced soon as well.
One final thing, especially the ones living away from Istanbul, we have a surprise for you! It will be declared in a few days, so stay tuned.
Looking forward to meeting you soon on a sunny day!
Büşra :)

You can make your registration and form submission through our website. You can see our splendid speakers! They will be waiting for you on April 14 & 15, 2012 at Boğaziçi University.

Keep up with the latest news!
Dear readers -or should I say dear participants;
We, Sevim, Buse, Başak, Ayşegül and I (Büşra) met on last saturday! We did a two-hour, very productive meeting.
We checked nearly all the things we have done so far.
Our 22 speakers are ready! They confirmed that they would be happy to take part in our conference. We are grateful to them! There will be keynote speeches, concurrent sessions, workshops and students presentations.
We have magnificent sponsors, thanks to them we can organize this conference. They will be announced later on.
In addition to precious speeches and workshops, we are preparing some surprises for you! Be ready ;)
Please do not forget that WE as students can make presentations! Just prepare your abstract and send it to us. The abstracts will be evaluated by instructors. There will be nearly 500 participants; not only students but also teachers! We can introduce ourselves, our ideas, and teaching styles to them.
Lastly, our new and fresh website will be published very soon.
We cannot spend even one day away from the conference! It is exciting..
Keep in touch!
Büşra :)

Where are we now?
Since our beginning day, we have covered a huge amount of distance!
We scheduled our conference program! There will be not only teachers and instructors who give speech and make workshops but also students! So dear ELT students, we all have a chance to make a presentation in our conference to many people in our area. The only thing you should do is send your presentation plan and abstract to us before the date that we will announce you later! So, follow us :)
We chose our conference venue! We are going to be at "Saatli Bina" at Boğaziçi University. The pleanery speeches will be there. Concurrent sessions and workshops will be around the classes which are close to Saatli Bina. All the participants have a chance to enjoy the great scene of our university in break times and during lunch!..
We started to get in touch with many precious speakers! I think it is good time to send our endless thanks to them. They didn't refuse us, even all of them are very helpful. Well, who are they? If you want to learn the answer, wait for the next post please! :)
How did we start?
How did the story start? Why did we decide to make an ELT Conference?
Let me introduce you the owner of this idea: Sevim Açıkgöz! She, who thinks about our conference every single moment in her daily life -even while sunbathing-, attended many ELT Conferences and one day heard about the one that is organized by students and that was the moment she decided! Then Buse Aral joined her and they decided to organize this conference with us, I mean with Boğaziçi University - Foreign Language Education Department.
At the same time, I was wondering why we don't do one... Therefore, when I heard about Sevim's idea of organizing the conference in collaboration with Bilgi and Boğaziçi University, I thought that somebody heard my voice...
So, Sevim and Buse visited us and we -Ayşegül Bayram and me- joined them and all together we started our adventure. Later Başak Temel from Bilgi University and Sinem Türkyılmaz from Boğaziçi University joined our group. Now we are working together and trying to do our best!
